Outpatient program · Barrington and Cherry Hill, NJ

Standard outpatient addiction treatment in Camden County

Ripple's outpatient program (OP) is our lightest level of addiction treatment: regular individual or group sessions, usually weekly, with ongoing support from your clinical team. Some people start here after an assessment. Others step down from PHP or IOP. OP runs at our Barrington and Cherry Hill locations.

What OP means

Standard outpatient care vs. "outpatient treatment"

All of Ripple's programs are outpatient, meaning you live at home and there are no overnight stays. Within that, standard outpatient care (OP) is the level with the fewest hours. PHP and IOP add more time and structure. See all outpatient programs for a side-by-side comparison.

Who OP is for

Is OP the right level of care?

A clinical assessment decides. OP is often a fit when:

  • Your assessment shows you need ongoing support, but not several sessions a week.
  • You are stepping down from PHP or IOP and want to keep your progress going.
  • Your home life, work, and health are fairly stable, and you want accountability and a plan.
  • You want to stay connected to care after finishing a more intensive program.

When you need more support. If cravings, use, or mental health symptoms increase, you can move up to IOP or PHP without starting over with a new team. Learn more about our co-occurring disorders treatment.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is standard outpatient treatment?

Standard outpatient treatment (OP) is regular individual or group therapy, usually weekly, while you live at home. It is the least intensive of Ripple’s three outpatient programs.

Do I have to finish PHP or IOP before OP?

No. Some people start OP directly after their assessment. Others step down to OP after PHP or IOP.

How often are OP sessions?

OP sessions are usually weekly. Your clinical team sets a schedule that fits your needs.

What if OP is not enough?

You can move up to IOP or PHP. The same clinical team adjusts your plan, so you do not start over.

Where does Ripple offer OP?

At both of our Camden County locations, in Barrington and Cherry Hill.

Can I get medication for addiction in OP?

Physicians at both locations provide medication-assisted treatment. Whether medication fits your plan is a decision you make with our medical team.
